Hunting Scene

 
Blue mountains, bright moonlight
Deer, argali, and bison
Living on the snowy plateau
And Bactrian camels are born to face the sun
 
Eagles, wolves, and wild horses
Growing endlessly like grass and blossoms
And the bow-drawn arrow— an image of hunting
Like a shamanic dance, carved into the rock

 

Wolf Mountain
 
Black rocks

but cold, and silence
 
Blue night, the moon
is the wolf's lover 

 

Turkic Stone Figure
 
The wind of the wilderness
Blows gently
 
Above the tombstone
Crows gaze at something
 
And beneath the tombstone
Souls lie, not just bones
 
The rain falls

Silently

*Hadaa Sendoo is an internationally renowned Mongolian poet. Born in 1961, he is recognized as a leading voice in contemporary poetry and has lived in Ulaanbaatar since 1991. He is the founder of the World Poetry Almanac. His works have been translated into dozens of languages and published in numerous countries. He is a member of the Union of Mongolian Writers and is an influential freelance writer and publisher. His poetry often explores nomadic culture, the vastness of the Mongolian landscape, and universal human experiences. His influence is defined by his ability to bridge Mongolian traditions with global modernist poetry, creating what critics call "universalist poetry". His influence is validated by prestigious international honors, including: The Poet of the Millennium Award (India, 2000), World Poetry Prize for Distinguished Poet, (China, 2005), Mongolian Writers' Union Prize, 2009, Mongolia. And the Pinnacle of Achievement Award (USA, 2010), DOOS Poetry Prize (Russia, 2017), Prize for the Renaissance of Modern Literature (Egypt, 2029), Silk Road Poetry Gold Award (Baku, 2019), and Winner of Amilcare Solferini Prize (Italy, 2025 Worldwide).
